Sustainable Energy Storage & Recycling UCL - UCL East (Institute for Materials Discovery)

SESR Group

The Sustainable Energy Storage & Recycling (SESR) Group is located at at University College London (UCL) East and is led by Dr.Georgios Nikiforidis. The group is dedicated to creating sustainable energy storage materials and technologies, with a primary focus on three key areas: Battery Recycling, Bio-energy Production, and Green Electrolyte Engineering. Our goal is to advance the fundamental science and engineering principles that drive these fields, ultimately contributing to a sustainable energy future.

Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the SESR Group works on developing innovative solutions that address critical challenges in energy storage and recycling. By leveraging advanced materials science, and artificial intelligence, we aim to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and circularity of energy systems.
